High School Student of the Week

–High School Student of the Week–Reese makes choosing Student of the Week easy! She is a fantastic student, earning excellent grades in advanced courses, while also participating in varsity basketball and track. Reese also works at the Drive In during the summer months, and is very active in the community. She can always be counted on to help out, whether it's for a class activity or helping a classmate understand an assignment. My favorite thing about Reese is her sense of humor; she makes me laugh often, and I appreciate that so much! Reese consistently turns in her work on time, has excellent attendance, and is kind to everyone around her, which makes her a perfect example of being VikingStrong. Thank you for all you do at our school, Reese. We are so grateful to have you as part of our Viking Family.

5th Grade Vike of the Month

Vike of the Month-5th Grade. Kyler is one of those great students who do exactly as you would expect of him. He’s a VIKES that works hard, can keep himself organized and motivates himself to do better. He’s cooperative, friendly, and listens to others' ideas openly. However, if you want to know how he managed to tip the scale in his favor, take a minute (or an hour) and let Kyler tell you about his “Invention Convention” project. Kyler has a great understanding of how things work. He has curiosity and a strong imagination that help him to easily grasp the big picture of things. It’s like you can see those gears turning as he clearly explains his outside-the-box thinking. Give Kyler a mathematical puzzle, a real life problem, or a machine to take apart and reassemble and watch in awe as he intuitively thinks his way through the challenges. He is a unique individual that deserves to be recognized this month. Keep being excellent, Kyler!

4th Grade Vike of the Month

Vike of the Month-4th Grade. Jacob has been doing an outstanding job in the classroom this year. Jacob is always doing what is expected of him. He participates in lessons and makes sure that he is getting his assignments completed and turned in on time. Jacob is also a great helper and is often heard encouraging his classmates to do well. Jacob is an excellent all-around student and I am just so proud of his work this year. Jacob has a heart of gold and is often thinking of others. He is also the sweetest big brother and is always looking out for his younger siblings. He will even save classroom treats and ask if he can give them to his brother because they are his brother’s favorite. Jacob, keep up the great work! You’re going to move mountains buddy!

3rd Grade Vike of the Month.

Vike of the Month-3rd Grade. Jadyn is one the kindest, hardworking, and respectful students! She has had such a great year in third grade and is growing every day. She is never afraid to read in front of her class, be a part of our class discussion, and always tell us her opinions! She is very responsible and always knows what she should be doing and where should be. Jadyn has been working so hard on having a positive attitude this year and is making so much growth. You will no longer hear Jadyn say she can’t, because when that girl puts her mind to something she can do it. Every time Jadyn is proud of something she did her first thing is to ask if she can go show her mom! Jadyn impresses me every day. She loves animals (especially birds) and is never afraid to be herself. Jadyn is always willing to work with anyone and help whenever it is needed! I am so proud of you Jadyn! Congratulations!

He takes such pride in his work and always strives to do his best. When he shares in class, he loves to show how he solves problems and explain how he got to an answer. Easton has grown so much this year. He has been working on focusing on himself, and always doing his best. Recently, I have noticed so much improvement in this area. 2nd Grade Vike of the Month

Vike of the Month-1st Grade. Quinn is an amazing student and friend to everyone around her. Each morning I can always count on Quinn showing up to school with a smile on her face and a curious question for me. Each day at the carpet, during calendar, or sharing time, I always hear Quinn’s voice actively participating. She is kind, helpful, caring, and silly. Quinn does a great job working independently, helping others if she’s done, and giving a nice compliment to a classmate. I always look forward to Quinn’s elaborate stories each day and her contagious laugh. Keep up the great work Quinn, I am so proud of you!

Kindergarten Vike of the Month

Vike of the Month-Kindergarten. Gidian is the kindergarten Vike of the month for February. He is an excellent student who I can always count on to do his best work. Even with distractions around him, Gidian makes good choices to stay on task, get his class work done, and be kind to his friends. It has been fun to watch him at recess as well, where he includes everyone and is a good sport during games. Gidian is the kind of kid who makes the right choice, even when nobody is around to notice, and that’s pretty special. I am so proud of you, Gidian. Congratulations!

K Vike of the Month

Vike of the Month-Little Vikes. Hailey has been working hard to be a good VIKE. She comes to school every day with a positive attitude and a smile for everyone. She is Very Respectful, polite, and always Kind to adults and all of her classmates. She has come a long way this year as she is learning to control her emotions in the classroom. At carpet time, she is trying hard to be an active listener and participate in all lessons. Hailey loves to help out in the classroom and I know I can always count on her to lend a helping hand, if needed. Hailey can, also, be shy and unsure of herself at times, but she has been trying to be more independent even when it is uncomfortable for her. I am so proud of you, Hailey! Keep up the good work!
