March 2010 - Rachel Sutherland Rachel Sutherland, daughter of Curtis and Lynelle Sutherland, is a sophomore at Baraga High School. Rachel is involved in band, basketball, softball, cheerleading, and was a U.P. finalist in track.
February 2010 - Savannah Dakota Savannah is a hard working student in and out of the classroom. Her positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn, and attention to detail make her an excellent student. Savannah is involved in several extra-curricular activities including SADD and serving as class president of the class of 2012. Savannah is very well respected among her peers, and is an excellent example of character and integrity for other student.
January 2010 - Jessica Messer Jessica Messer, daughter of Mary Messer, is a senior at Baraga High School. She is an excellent 3rd year art student who also does very well in her other classes. Jessica volunteers to help her class whenever possible, and always shows great school spirit. Jessica participates in S.A.D.D., Y.A.C., High School Bowl, Volleyball, Bowling, and is a member of the Baraga County Community Foundation. In her spare time Jessica enjoys drawing, bowling, and downhill skiing. Jessica plans to attend MTU in the fall to study Computer & Electrical Engineering.
December 2009 - Dan Alexander Daniel Alexander, son of Daniel and Dawn Alexander is a sophomore at Baraga High School. Dan participates in football at Baraga, and enjoys snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and hunting in his spare time.
November 2009 - Ethan Botruff Ethan Botruff, son of Chris and Lois Botruff, is a 9th grade student at Baraga High School. His interests include gaming and drawing. Ethan possesses a great sense of humor, yet he is very serious about his academics. Always well behaved, Ethan has shown a determination and work ethic that will help him be successful throughout high school. He’s always interested in and involved with what’s going on in the classroom. In addition, Ethan is a fun person to be around.
October 2009 - Paige Maskill Paige Maskill, daughter of Donna Maskill and Mark Maskill, is a senior at Baraga High School. Paige works hard in and out of the class, taking classes such as Advanced Biology, Pre-Calculus, and Physics. Things that stand out about Paige are her positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn, and her excellent questions in class. Paige is a very kind person who often volunteers her time to help others. She is also involved in many extra-curricular activities such as Basketball, Volleyball (Captain), National Honor Society (President), Student Council (Vice-President), Class Officer (Vice-President), and has been active in these throughout her high school career. Paige is very well-respected, and is a great example for her peers both as a student and as a person of high integrity and good character.
September 2009 - Rebecca Rasanen Rebecca Rasanen, daughter of Carl and Julie Rasanen, is a senior at Baraga High School. Rebecca is an outstanding student. She carries the most difficult course load available, and manages to maintain a very high grade point average. In addition to being a permanent fixture on the Honor Roll, Rebecca is a member of the Narional Honor Society. Upon graduation, Rebecca plans to attend Michigan State University. |
