If you do not have your beginning of the year forms turned in by Wednesday, October 23rd your computer access will be disable until they are turned in. Also, if you are in sports you will not be able to practice or play in your games.

There will be a student council meeting on Tuesday, October 22nd at lunch time in the Library.

School pictures are in the office. You can pick them up between classes, at lunch, or after school.

Registration is now open for the 2019-20 Nordic ski season. If you have a young skier who would like to ski with us, or novice who's never been on cross country skis before, please consider registering to ski with the Copper Country Ski Tigers. We meet Saturday mornings at local trails each week, January through March.

If you are 11-18 yrs old and you'd like to learn more about the Copper Country Ski Tigers'Competition Team, Development Team or the Adventure Group you are invited to an information meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 6:30pm at the Nara Chalet.

This meeting is for families of new, returning, and/or interested skiers. We will introduce coaches, discuss the upcoming season, and address questions. While you're there check out our new trophy case in the NARA chalet. Ski Tigers have been MI State Champions for the last 7 years!

A Representative from Michigan State will in the Library on Monday, October 21 from 1:30-2:00 to meet with interested Juniors and Seniors.

A Representative from NMU will be in the Library 3rd Hour on Tuesday, October 22 to meet with interested Juniors and Seniors.

#UnityDay2019 Wednesday, October 23rd. Wear ORANGE. Share your support of National Bullying Prevention Month.

A Representative from UWS will be in the Library at 2:30 on Monday, November 3 to meet with interested Juniors and Seniors.

Sign Up in the high school office for college visits. Attendance will be taken during the visit to ensure that all students report to the visit.

All Seniors and interested Juniors will be taking the ASVAB test on October 30 in the Library.

Attention all staff with MESSA insurance:

Open enrollment is November 1st through November 25, 2019. During this time, please review the plans available to you and update your benefit selections for the coming year. All changes will be effective January 1, 2020. After open enrollment closes, you cannot change your benefit selections until the next open enrollment period unless you experience a “qualifying event,” such as marriage, birth, your spouse losing coverage from another insurer or other limited instances. If you have any questions, please see me as soon as possible.

After school tutoring has begun and is being held Monday–Thursday from 3:30–5:00 in Ms. Crittenden’s room.

Great Explorations is looking for a Youth Development Leader for the GE Afterschool Program. Must be 18 years of age, would like to work with children in grades K-5. Working hours are after school till 5:30. Monday thru Thursday. Come see Barb Ellenich in the GE office for an application.

The 8th grade class is selling Viking t-shirts. They are $12 each or 2 for $20. They will be available in Helen’s room.
