LUNCH:

Monday – Soft taco, blueberries, sweet potato fries, 1% milk

Tuesday – Hotdog, baked beans, mandarin oranges, 1% milk

Wednesday – Chicken sandwich, celery, whole apple, 1% milk

Thursday – Burrito, corn, peaches, 1% milk

Friday – Calzone pizza, applesauce, green peppers, cookie, 1% milk

Breakfast for all middle school and high school students is grab and go.

Only students who are eating breakfast in the morning are allowed to be in the lunchroom.  Please do not enter the lunchroom if you are not eating. 


GENERAL

PROM IS ON! MAY 22ND! FLYERS WILL BE UP NEXT WEEK AND TICKETS GO ON SALE WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAYS BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL MRS. L'S ROOM. 

If you were measured for a tux last week when Celebrations was at the Lakeside you need to call Diane, 482-4946, to pay your deposit.  If you still need to get fitted for your tux, there is a signup sheet in the high school office.  If there are 10 boys that signup Diane will come to Baraga to do the measurements.  Celebrations hours are 12-6 Wednesday-Friday and Saturday 12-3.

If you borrowed a Chromebook charger during a quarantine, please return to Mrs. Wisniewski ASAP

With the recent influx in the rise of positives and the new variants, it is more important than ever that we continue to wear our masks and do so properly. You are doing a great job, so please keep it up for a little while longer. 

Juniors:

The ACT Work key will now be on April 28th

There are a lot of missing/overdue library books from last school year and this school year.  If you have any at home or in your locker please return them to Mrs. Jorgenson in the Library as soon as possible so you do not get a bill in the mail for the replacement cost of the books.

Tutoring is being held in Jackie Heikkinen’s room and will run from 3:30 – 5:00 Monday through Thursday.

Thursdays 3:30-4:30 Upward Bound tutoring in the library


STUDENT OF THE WEEK:   April 12-16, 2021

Middle School – Talan E. – He comes to class prepared and ready to think about that day's topic. He is polite and helpful. He strives to do well in class and always makes sure that the class area is clean before leaving and that he wishes you a pleasant rest of your day.  

High School – Destiny P.– She shows up to school every day with a great attitude and solid work ethic. She signed up for challenging classes and has never quit on herself or the curriculum. She keeps moving forward at a steady pace. Destiny consistently does what she needs to do to be successful in the classroom. She is always kind and pleasant. She is never rude or negative. I very much appreciate the opportunity to work with her every day.

SCHOLARSHIPS

SENIORS – The 2020-2021 Scholarship applications have been updated on the Baraga Schools website.  The deadline for each is included next to the scholarship name. 

The following scholarships must be turned in by:

April 23rd – Baraga County Federal Credit Union

                  L’Anse Warden Electric Co, LLC

April 26th – Ottawa Sportsmen’s Club (New deadline)

April 30th – Village of Baraga with WPPI Energy

May 1st – Hockey is Life
