Our first K-12 weekly drawing challenge is a Baby Yoda challenge! If you turn it in you will receive extra credit. If you’re an elementary student you will get a Vikes ticket. Mrs. L's 2nd grade class had learning packets/sets sent home today. 2nd grade families please see the class page "2nd grade fun with Mrs. L" on fb for more info. She will also be posting daily videos and read alouds there during this time off.
1st graders are learning about light sources in artwork. Last week they practiced their shading skills. This week they worked on their silhouette paintings and sang along with Kidz Bop.

BAD NEWS.......
The MHSAA is suspending all winter sport tournaments indefinitely. No contests until further notice.
NO REGIONAL GAME......MHSAA will re-evaluate on Monday and give us direction at that time.

Tickets for the MHSAA Regional Championship girls basketball game between L'Anse and Baraga can be pre-purchased at Michigan Tech’s SDC Ticket office for $6. You can also buy online at BuyHuskiesTickets.com. The Purple Hornets and Vikings will tip off on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Michigan Tech SDC Varsity Gym.
Lots of learning in the hall

First grade students are working hard on “Popcorn for Australia”, a project to raise funds for animals hurt in the Australian wildfires. They are selling popcorn to elementary students each Friday in March.
All funds will be donated to Wildlife Victoria, an emergency response center for animals.
