No, it's not ghostbusters, it's just Porter making use of our newest cleaning tool. The sprayer is used to sanitize and make safe surfaces in the classrooms and throughout the building for students and teachers.

Update: Due to the potential for changes in guidance from our state, we will NOT be implementing any new safety protocols for the week of October 5th. Things will run as they did since the beginning of school (facial coverings for 6-12 at all times and only in common areas for TK-5) until we get more information on what these changes mean for us. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to work through everything. See you tomorrow. *Also remember there is no school for students on Friday the 9th due to a professional development day for staff.

To Our Baraga Families: Due to rising coronavirus numbers in the area, the Governor will be moving our region to Phase 4 on October 9th. This causes some changes to the safety protocols schools must follow according to the MI Safe Schools Roadmap and executive orders. The requirement of facial coverings for all TK-12 students and staff is one of those changes. Baraga Schools will start to practice implementing this on Monday so that everyone has some time to get adjusted. We are asking that all students come to school with a facial covering on Monday, October 5th. Remember to take your cloth facial coverings home each night to wash them or get a new disposable one each day. We know this isn't easy but we are dedicated to keeping the school safe for face-to-face learning. The older kids have been doing such a great job adhering to these requirements. Wash your hands often, cover your coughs and sneezes, practice social distancing, and stay healthy.  #VIKINGSTRONG https://www.uppermichiganssource.com/app/2020/10/02/upper-michigan-moves-back-to-phase-4/?fbclid=IwAR3_B2BcTw-jIcTlr8V1TZhZ4BiC3y3cCvWDrVdCdsXt3UgEo3lQyErZGOU

Mrs. Wisniewski is looking for cleaned 2L or 20 oz. pop bottles, preferably clear. The students will need these for an activity coming up. If you would like to provide the class with some please send them with your student to school or drop them off at the office. Bringing them in a bag allows for easier cleaning and transportation. Thanks!
